Laurie earned a Master of Science in Psychology from California Lutheran University in 1993. She attended Fuller Theological Seminary where she earned Master Degrees in Marriage and Family Therapist and Theology in 1998.
She began studying Intersubjectivity Theory at the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis in 2002, and Attachment Theory which is front and center to the model of Emotion Focused Therapy for couples.
Laurie has attended an extensive number of conferences and professional trainings which have honed her skills as a therapist, and deepened her love of co-creating therapeutic relationships with her patients.
Laurie has served as Training Supervisor at California Lutheran University, Bereavement Group Facilitator at Northridge Hospital Medical Center, Elementary School Counselor at Campbell Hall Episcopal School, Co-Director of Child, Youth and Family Formation and facilitator of “a grief shared” support group at The Church of the Epiphany where she has been a member since 1988.
Fee
$200 for 45-minute session with individuals
$250 for 60-minute session with couples/families.
Insurance
With the exception of being in network with Aetna, Laurie does not accept insurance. You will be charged her fee and she will provide for you a super-bill that you can submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.
Cancellation Policy
If you do not cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled session time, you will be charged the full fee unless you are able to schedule the cancelled session within the same week.
